Gruber Is Right About The American Voter.

It's been a while since I last posted, but there's just too much going on in this Country that needs t be addressed. WHile I have little doubt that I will be the only person ever to read this post, it will be cathartic, for me, to forge on with this post.

After sitting back and watching “Grubergate” unfold, it is clear that Republicans are trying to capitalize on, more than anything, Jonathan Gruber’s reference to the stupidity of the American voter.
It’s hard to tell whether the outrage over his contempt is genuine or faux. But putting Gruber’s despicable motivations and methods aside, he was right about American voters. They are stupid, and frankly, that is being generous.
One look at my Facebook feed and I see the endless postings of Liberals, posing as moderates, saying the most inane things. Their incessant race baiting would be laughable  if it weren't so destructive. They are eerily silent about how their signature legislation was passed on the basis of an outright lie. Before I get to why Gruber is right about the American Voter, let's recap the lie he deemed necessary.
His lies are directly related to the lawsuits challenging the validity of an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rule that says patients in states without state health care exchanges are eligible to receive federal subsidies to offset the obscene costs of their health insurance plans. The text of the Affordable Care Act repeatedly states that federal subsidies may only flow to those who purchase their plans from an exchange “established by the State” as opposed to one established by the federal government.
Unfortunately for the Obama administration, states weren’t all that keen on the whole state exchange idea. So most of them balked. And when it became clear that states would not do Obama’s dirty work in establishing their own exchanges, the IRS came to the rescue and promulgated a rule stating that federal subsidies would be available to everyone.
Without the facade of federal subsidies to help mask the massive cost increases caused by Obamacare, the already rickety law collapses. And the best part about the whole legal controversy over the IRS rule is that the self-styled brightest minds of the leftist online commentariat never saw it coming. This just goes to show how bad most leftist wonks are at their jobs.
The latest uproar over Gruber proves it once again.
Now, to their credit, they seem to finally understand how bad Gruber’s comments are for the pending Supreme Court case about the IRS rule. And his comments are damaging because they fly in the face of the government’s arguments about the absurdity of believing that the law meant to prevent subsidies from flowing through federal exchanges. But in one of his many videos, Gruber clearly states that what the government says is absurd is actually the precise outcome intended by those who designed the law: the federal government wanted all 50 states to establish exchanges. What better way to coerce them into doing that than by making federal subsidies contingent upon the establishment of a state exchange? What the Obama administration’s legal briefs say is absurd is exactly what the law’s architect said was the end goal.
And therein lies the latest mission for Obamacare’s dimwitted online propagandists: let’s just tell everyone Gruber wasn’t the law’s architect! Yeah, that’s the ticket. If the Libtards weren't bad enough re: this issue,   They are about to cheer on the President for using executive action re: amnesty, yet none of them have yet to answer this simple question honestly, "How would you feel about executive action if a Republican President in the aftermath of Republicans getting TROUNCED in the midterm elections, chose to deport all illegal aliens by executive order?" That question can be posed about any issue which might offend a Liberal's senses (which isn't really very difficult to accomplish...seriously, is there any group of people so easily offended than Liberals?) OK—I'll abuse my Liberal friends in a separate post...back to Gruber's (the most honest Liberal in history) point.
How many American voters have read the Constitution? How many who have read the Constitution have put forth the effort to understand it properly?
How many American voters actually understand economics? How many American voters have a deep knowledge of history?
How many American voters know how to think critically about something other than pop culture? How many get their news from one source such as nightly news? How many fact check their news sources?
How many Americans voters vote based on soundbites? Or headlines? How many actually attempt to understand even the basic outlines of policy proposals?
How many American voters vote based on race, class, or appearance?
Can anyone read through the above questions and not agree with Jonathan Gruber?
And this applies to the right too. Many conservative voters are stupid, just like everyone else.  Watch them on Facebook. Watch them rant about the Marxist Muslim in the White House, watch them sign pointless petitions, watch them share falsified quotations and satirical articles as sources of truth. It will open your eyes. While not nearly as absurd as the Libtards amongst us, they surely exist.
The stupidity of the American voter is why pure democracy is a horrible idea. It’s why democracy should be restricted as much as possible to people who are knowledgeable and committed to the future of the country. It's why I don't want the Federal Gov't anywhere near my life.
The sad thing is that as stupid as American voters are, they are somehow more responsible than the 40-50% of the eligible population who stay at home during any given election.
